Hey Goons!

Sorry its been a while since my last update. We’ve been super busy but now we have a few days off I figured this is a good times to write! A few days ago we completed recording our orchestra. That’s right kids, a fucking orchestra! I have always wanted Orange to be that kind of band that uses orchestral arrangements and its amazing to see that dream come to a reality.

It almost brought me to tears how beautiful it sounds. I defiantly popped some wood that’s for sure though.

Were about 3 weeks into recording now and last night I managed to finish tracking vocals for my fourth song. Can you believe how much time were taking??? Were so used to recording albums in 2 weeks (that includes mixing, mastering, editing, everything) so this is such a weight off our shoulders to be able to do this and take this long. A huge thanks to our producer Gavin MacKillop!! Without him NONE of this would be possible.

Viva la orange,
The Joe Dexter philharmonic orchestra

“Hey sexy bitches!

We have finished all the rhythm guitars and Perry and I are now recording some lead parts before Brendan gets here to lay down some solos! Everything is sounding amazing, and that’s even without EQ! As every day passes we get closer to finishing and delivering to your ears for all your sexual pleasure.

I may be starting to track vocals today too so I’m really excited!!!

With the band in the studio more and more Joe has yet another update from the studio:

“Hey everyone! We’ve been recording at Tim from Sugarcults house for 5 days now and Perry has plowed through 10 songs! We’ve got 4 more to do then on to vocals. Its been really fun recording at Tims, I’ve been a huge sugarcult fan for years and its rad to know that sometimes its ok to meet your idols.

We have also chosen an album title that we think represents the album and what Orange has been through the past 2 years as a band. Wanna know what it is? THEN SEND NUDES!

Alright were off right now to record so keep on reading and keep ya buttcheeks tight” – Joe
