So I was checking out all the lovely web content our sister site TheOffline.com has been posting in the last week and I have to say it fucking rocks. I just finished watching I Am Facebook for the 4th time and I can’t believe how funny it is. I totally relate to this video because I have never had a personal MySpace or a Facebook page and I must say my life could have been better if I did. It will all make more sense once you go check out the damn video.

They also have 2 funny weekly video comic type shows from Deborah Robinson and Ben who does the Sunday Strip as he likes to call it. Both are weekly and 9 times out of 10 make me crack right up.

Get on your video goggles and get watching these sexy videos over at my favorite video site: www.TheOffline.com

“I think everyone knows that right now DIY touring is the hardest it’s ever been. No one buys CDs. Gas prices are at an all time high. Kids are more jaded than ever. On top of this however, we’ve recently been royally fucked by our van and trailer. Over the past week, we’ve had to pour over $1200 into fixing the brakes, oxygen sensor and repairing the trailer. However, we’re not babies and we’re manning up, going into credit card debt and finishing this tour and the one after it. We could absolutely use your help with this though. We put all of our merch up on our myspace for sale. If you’re cool enough to buy something, we’ll ship it to you the minute we’re able to stop off at a post office. Nowadays, every one’s talking about how DIY touring is coming to an end. If you still want to see bands like us play in your area, you’ve got to do something to help. Pick up a shirt. We’ll be unbelievably grateful.” – Soupy/The Wonder Years

On Saturday we headed out to the Toronto date of Warped Tour. I figured the event would be the perfect first concert for my little one who is 8, Mz. Jayde. Not to mention, she LOVES Katy Perry.

The event was a blast. We got to hang out with a lot of cool people who are both in town for the tour and local to us. We also had our DJ’s Sinead and Aaron do some on scene coverage so be sure to check into their shows this week and next for cool interviews with bands like: Against Me! Cobra Starship, The Academy Is, The Bronx, Reel Big Fish, Jack’s Mannequin, Horropos and more! Here are the time and dates for the airings:

Sineadagain Show – Mondays from 1-3 pm ET

The Dividing Line – Tuesdays from 8 – 10 pm ET

Camping Again

Not only did we go camping again, this time it was a business trip. We set up an office, answered all our calls and emails while entertaining. We were only gone for 40 hours, but what a wild 40 hours it was. I will get to some pictures, than a skunk story.

Above you can see our office. What a mighty fine office it was. Above the office was a crazed out squirrel who I swear, sat in every tree that we sat under and threw rocks, branches, leaves and other goodies at our head.

Now to the skunk! On the last night Danny left a bag of the new Dorito’s Chicken Wing and Blue Cheese chips sitting on the ground about 5 feet from the tent. At about 5:30 in the morning I heard someone, or something munching on the chips. This went on for about 5 minutes before we decided to look out and see what it was!! It was a cute / smelly skunk. Now, the PunkRadioCast dog recently got sprayed by a skunk (not once, twice) so I was quite afraid this would make for a third spraying!!!

When we opened the window to look at the skunk it started to run out towards us in a very friendly manner. Despite that, we closed shop quickly and I decided if that skunk sprayed our brand new tent was immediately going into the morning campfire! Luckily the skunk was quite content (for over 45 minutes) just eating the chips until there was absolutely NOTHING left of them. Wow, even skunks LOVE the new spicy Dorito’s.

This might be the best reason for having a Blog; a super overload of information that our shitty ass website can’t handle (only because whoever built the news section was a douche bag).

I was just sent the proof pictures of the new Sloppy Seconds record that we have been selling in the Music Market. Yes, it fucking rocks. I was told slime green when we started promoting it but from the looks of it there is a bonus feature. It is not only slime green but its FUCKING SEE THROUGH! See for yourself!

They should arrive in about 6 days and we are almost sold out (just from pre orders) so don’t pay more elsewhere when we have it! Fuck yea!

Last week we had to work away from the office again, hence no updates. Internet is quite limited on the road thanks to the Canadian Cell Phone Carriers (Fuck You Rogers)! Regardless, we have some really great pictures and stories. Below are the pictures and for the stories you must head over to www.punkradiocast.com/top40 to download this weeks Top 40 Podcast. Now to the pictures (in no particular order):

This is a porn cinema. It says couples are free on I think Tues and Thurs (thank you Montreal’ers for translating)

The question is, does anyone live here?

Is it a moose shack?

Yummy Roti

Once upon a time, there were young and hot bagel boys

Gooodbye Montreal! Hello fuzzy biker friend:

So as soon as we got the car, Danny and I went and bought a tent. The PunkRadioCast midget went away for the weekend so we decided to go camping! Danny and I literally had all the equipment. Neither of us have been camping in years so we fucked up and ended up living like the homeless for two days. I even forgot Pillows! It was a blast though and here are the pictures:

The new tent:

Ok, so we didnt have sleeping bags but what moron forgets the pillows?? ME!

The camp site would only sell us kindling, but called it wood. We found this dead tree and called it fire wood. Oh living in the wild like a caveman

Look how nicely it burned

This was one mighty fine dinner

The waterfalls at the conservation we stayed at

The caveman!!

Nacho cheese and potatoes on the fire

So last week both Danny and I ended up being away from the office for the WHOLE week. Why you ask? Because car sales reps are the worse people in the WORLD!!! Both Danny and I are “sales people” per say. By the end of the week we both had a really good understanding as to why peoples instant reaction to say no to use before even knowing why we are calling, is the most common one. Let me start from the beginning….

PunkRadioCast has been searching for a new car for over 2 months now. Last Monday (June 23rd) Danny decided enough was enough and he was getting a car NOW! Originally we were going to get the Mini Cooper S. It was a bit out of our price range, but we knew we wanted a fairly small, sporty type car. We headed over to the local auto mall and began hunting for the cheapest, small auto. After 5 hours of searching we ended up at Toyota. We checked out the Yaris and to be honest with you it was a quite shitty car.

Despite the car being not the greatest the price was right and it would get the job done. The sales rep promised us the car would be ready in a few days or less with a payment way below our budget and we were on a 36 month lease. This was perfect. It was a compact car that was obviously not the dream vehicle, but it allowed enough in the budget to potentially get the Mini Cooper S in a year or so as a second car.

On Tuesday we never heard back from the sales rep. Danny called and called and was not able to get a hold of him. On Wednesday morning, the same thing. Danny and I decided to head back to the auto mall to talk to the rep face to face. He assured us that they were looking for our car and was not able to find it yesterday becuase the “lady who looks for the cars was sick”. He than asked us to hold on a second and disappeared. While he was gone we ran into the business manager who is a friend of Danny’s family. He than in conversation mentioned that they have been looking for our car all day Tuesday. Danny and I look at eachother wondering why there is this contradiction. Our sales rep than returns and asks that we give him to lunch to find a car. We accept and leave to discuss.

Lunch rolls around and there is no phone call. We called our sales rep continusly from lunch well into the early evening. When we finally get a hold of him he tell us Toyota is having a car shortage and that we can get a red or orange Yaris or wait a MONTH for the car we want!!! We than tell him we will be at his office in a few minutes to discuss. The best part is if we wanted the orange or red we would have to wait a week!!!!

Danny and I get to the office and clearly tell him he promised a car and that if he doesn’t produce what he promises we will pull out of the deal. The sales man than tells Danny we never said we were in a rush AND that we are obligated by law to buy the car because we signed a promise to buy a car with a deposit. The form we signed CLEARLY states that we are not obligated to the car, but if we do not buy the car we may loose our deposit. When Danny shows this to him he denies that its true (retarded I know) and says give me until tomorrow morning (Thursday June 26) and let me see if I can get you a better car by the end of the weekend.

Danny decides this is bullshit and that he wants to look at a back up plan. So, once again we are out looking for a new car. We headed over to Honda and decided to look at the Civic. Danny was hesitant to buy the Civic from the beginning since the only car he has EVER owned. We get into Honda and he tells the sales person that we were originally looking to get the Cooper and he suggests the Honda Fit. Danny is still hesitant, but takes up the sales reps offer to let him drive Danny around in the Fit. I stay at dealership and Danny returns saying, “This is the car I want over the Mini”

Danny decides to wait until Thursday to buy the car just to see what happens with the shady Toyota dealer. Of course the next day, the sales rep never calls so we head out and buy the Honda. After 5 hours of negotiating, we own a new Honda Fit!

Now Toyota, we are going to keep the ending of this short becuase it has yet to end. All I know is we are getting our deposit back tomorrow, but I highly doubt it is going to be an easy adventure. And now to a picture of the new car:
