The Coffee Project comprised of good Buddys Schaub (Less Than Jake) and Jake Crown (Rehasher) just released a brand new album titled “Moved On”, which comes out only as a vinyl LP but includes a CD version. This is the coolest way to release music in PRC’s opinion, but this is getting way off topic. To promote the release of the new album the band decided to write a quick but super sweet song about yours truly… PunkRadioCast! How cool is that eh?

For one week only we will be offering a free download of the song through our sister website ShopRadioCast.com. Also for the entire week we will also be selling the album Moved On on LP/CD for an insanely cheap price ($10.75). All this is starting Thursday June 10th 2010 at the stroke of midnight!

Starting this Saturday from 10 PM ET for a full two hours our new friends XtremeBitz will be doing one of the best live show I have ever heard exclusively on PunkRadioCast.com. These guys are seasoned radio pro’s with well over 6 years of live show pizzazz! Here how they describe their show:

“Much like PRC, XtremeBitz started with only two listeners. It now has three. The XtremeBitz Radio Show with Eddie, Jason, and Chris started in 2002 and is one of the longest running online radio shows of its kind. Artist interviews, stunts, bits, comedy, and kick-ass punk rock. It’s the living, breathing audio definition of: I’m 24 and I don’t want to grow up.”

I would describe it as a little more than just 24 year olds getting ripped and farting on the mic…but that might just be how it goes. Good thing they play good music right? KIDDING! Trust you me this show will blow you away.

Well it has been a while since I did an official hello/update on the sexy Blogzilla. Thanks to opening a brand new store and spring…now close to Summer time has really started to move like a turtle on speed. Speaking of speed, lets bring you up to speed on what we have been doing and planning for the summer of 09:

Vans 2009 Warped tour booth adventures: We will be attending 4 dates this summer with the brand new PunkRadioCast/ShopRadioCast tent. Yes you can come and hang out with Jenna, Jayde and me and see our sexy tent. I will be updating everyone on twitter and the blog when and what dates we will be attending but for right now all you need to know is that we will be there. Don’t be shy come by the tent and get free stuff! That is our motto =)

Scene Fest 2009 / Hotrod hootenanny adventures: We are attending both these amazing events. If you are coming you know all about how amazing each event is. I have never actually been to the Hotrod Hootenanny, but I have heard some amazing things so I can’t wait. As always come by the tent and say hello. Get free stuff and don’t forget to have a blast! For more info check out www.scenemusicfestival.com and http://www.myspace.com/znchotrodhootenanny

ShopRadioCast.com: Yes this topic needs its own section. Tons of stuff is going on with this brand new store. If you have not heard about it you are probably living in a jungle hanging out with survivor man. We are your new place to find all the new music, clothing, accessories, DVDs, Blu-Ray movies, body jewelry, drinks and so much more…all at the best or sometimes unbelievable prices. Remember every order gets free stuff and with incentives like that how could you not want to buy stuff. Have you seen the newest NOFX record on vinyl? It’s amazing. Go and check it out www.ShopRadioCast.com. Also don’t forget to check out our Twitter (http://twitter.com/shopradiocast) account for tons of special sales and yummy coupon codes to save you money!

PunkRadioCast: We are currently looking for new shows and working hard on keeping up with all the new music hitting the streets. That in it self could keep 10 people busy! Keeping the air waves rocking is a hell of a job and it may not sound as exciting as the stuff going on above but damn it sure sounds better (GET IT?). I am such a joker. We are actually starting to talk about adding some more streams and possibly higher quality. Look out for that coming soon and who knows maybe we will have an iphone app dropping sometimes in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled!

All in all it’s building up to be a huge summer for us and I hope you can say the same about your summer. If not turn on PRC, crank it to eleven, crack your favorite soda (Jones Soda) and have a party! Trust me it will help wash away those sad little emo kid tears.

So it has been a while since I did my promised weekly mail box of love column showcasing the best music I find in my huge mail box, but I am not giving up. I don’t know why people decide to set overwhelming deadlines for themselves and then just flake out. Most people in my experience start flaking out on a small things (promising to help a friend do something) then it ends up taking over their lives and they become almost like drug addicts. Half the music industry is like this for Pete’s sake. It all starts from flaking out on a something small and then before you know it…you are a full blown flake. Hey don’t look at me like that, I just missed a few weeks (or months) of weekly blogging. I won’t turn into one of them…or will I?

Okay, now that that is out of my system lets talk about the album that got me back on the wagon. I totally missed this albums release, but I finally got my hands on it a few months after and never really gave it a chance (as much of you probably did). Then it hit me and I could not stop listening to it. The thought of the old days came back into my brain when I use to rock the fuck out listening to this band, thinking how do they do this all the way from the other side of the world. Yes I am talking about Useless ID. They have a new album? Hell yea they do.

One thing that really sucks about being on a small label (even thought the label rocks) is that most people never even hear about your new album. It takes a lot of moon alignment and star power to get your damn music into people’s hands. Yes PunkRadioCast and the internet helps, but like I said the moons totally have to be aligned. Regardless this is why I do this Blog and why I do this job that I set out to do. Enough with my thoughts lets talk about this brand new album “Lost Broken Bones” from Useless ID. This band is not new to making amazing records but after I read what Virgil (Suburban Home Records) wrote about how he felt about this record I could not agree more. This is Useless ID’s best written record yet. I sometimes think about Useless ID has a band that can pull off soft smoochy punk songs, but then can just turn you upside down when they turn on the punk rock which totally blows you away. Lost Broken Bones is flawless from start to finish, but as always some songs just stick out more than others like track three titled Mouse In A Maze. This track is unbelievably catchy and full of energy. This is just one of the many tracks I put on repeat which I can’t stop loving.

I never made an official best of 2008 album list but man this record could be my number 1, to bad its march 2009.

January was as slow as I have ever seen for releases this year, but thanks to February my desk is piled high with tons and tons of new release. I must say it’s quite overwhelming. Now with that said, I happen to be looking forward to a very special release from Epitaph, which was the brand new record from Thursday titled Common Existence. I was a pretty big Thursday lover back in the day due to Full Collapse in 2001, but after that I wouldn’t touch a Thursday release with a 10 foot pole. Now when I heard that Epitaph was releasing their new album I thought to myself, this might actually bring back the Thursday I once loved. As always…Epitaph saved the day because Common Existence is down right amazing. I can’t stop listening to this record and if I had all day I would go into deep detail as to why, but let’s keep it short and sweet. Thursday’s back baby! Go pickup their brand new record Common Existence which its stores (digitally and physically) February 17th, 2009!

This is a bit nerdy but hey, why not take a look. Below is the first company to partner with one of the big (or small) three to bring internet to cars without those stupid USB modem thingies all the Telco’s are trying to sell you for your laptops. Yes it’s not amazing but it is one step closer to the future!
